" I am confident about my ability to treat patients with the right medication. At the end of the day, I need to be answerable to my own conscience and wouldn’t want to unnecessarily advise surgery to patients when I know there is an alternative. "
Dr Karpagambal Sairam, Consultant Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist is a board certified and internationally trained Obstetrician, Gynecologist with special interest in Fertility. She has more than 10 years of experience in the field of women’s health with special emphasis on Fertility, management of high risk pregnancies and minimally invasive gynaecological procedures (laparoscopy and hysteroscopy).

Having had her own clinic in gynecology, Dr Karpagambal joined The Capstone Clinic as she felt it was a good opportunity to work with a team of multispeciality experts from the doctors’ fraternity, where information was no longer siloed to her speciality alone. She believes that India is the best country to establish a good doctor-patient relationship and her clientele is mostly on a referral basis where she has tended to generations of the same family and their family friends and relatives. She says that the benefit of a clinical practice such as The Capstone Clinic is that the group of doctors are able to cater to the complete health needs of many families and refer to their colleagues for immediate attention across specialities. She believes that long term family oriented medical practice is much needed. She feels an added advantage of The Capstone Clinic is its central location, which provides easy accessibility to patients.
Dr Karpagambal’s goal is to work for enhancing women’s health in all aspects with special reference to preventive health.
